Aerial and poetic, deliberately refined, black on white, in square formats, these handkerchiefs, each corresponding to an extract of dreams,
can be read as a set of desires, taking viewers into a narrative that is both personal and universal.
Hand-embroidered, Lysiane Bourdon kept the different threads on the back, as a witness to gesture and labor.
These threads also represent the disjointed and escaping aspect of dreams, visible in transparency.
Set of 36 Handkerchiefs of Desires with dreams on textile.
